Ingredients

  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. melted shortening
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 c. chopped, ripe pears

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, egg, shortening and vanilla until well mixed. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; mix well.
  2. Stir into batter.
  3. Add pears and chocolate chips.
