A delightful dessert featuring tender pear halves dipped in rich melted chocolate, served atop meringue with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream for a luxurious treat.

Ingredients

  • 6 pear halves
  • 2 bars German sweet chocolate (4 oz. each), melted
  • 1 pt. vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 6 individual meringues
  • 1/2 pt. whipping cream, whipped

Instructions

  1. Drain pear halves and allow to dry on a towel.
  2. Dip each pear half in melted chocolate and place on ice cream filled meringue.
  3. Top with whipped cream.
  4. Store in freezer until 20 minutes before serving.
