Pecan Walnut Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 sticks pure butter
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c. black walnuts
  • 1 c. Pet evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. lemon

Instructions

  1. Cream
  2. together
  3. sugar and
  4. butter and shortening until fluffy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time.
  6. Add milk and flour alternately. Add vanilla and lemon extracts.
  7. Beat for 2 minutes on low speed. Fold
  8. in pecans and walnuts.
  9. Bake in a 325° oven for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
