Peppermint Cupcake Cones

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. white cake mix
  • 18 flat bottom ice cream cones
  • 1 pkg. fluffy white frosting
  • 1/4 tsp. peppermint extract
  • colored sugars (optional)
  • red jelly beans (optional)
  • gumdrops (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare cake mix batter as directed on package.
  2. Fill cones 2/3 full with batter.
  3. Place on baking sheet and bake in moderate 375° oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
  4. Cool on cake rack.
  5. Prepare a fluffy white frosting.
  6. Blend in peppermint extract.
  7. Swirl frosting on cake cones.
  8. Decorate as desired with colored sugars, red jelly beans and/or gumdrops.
