Ingredients

  • 1 (2 layer size) package chocolate cake mix
  • 20 starlight mints
  • 8 oz. Cool Whip chocolate whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare and bake the chocolate cake mix as directed on the package.
  2. Cool the cake for 10 minutes; remove from pans.
  3. Cool completely on wire racks.
  4. Crush 8 starlight mints; set aside the remaining mints for garnish.
  5. Spread 1 cup of Cool Whip chocolate whipped topping on one cake layer.
  6. Sprinkle the crushed mints over the whipped topping.
  7. Place the second cake layer on top.
  8. Frost the entire cake with the remaining whipped topping.
  9. Store the cake in the refrigerator.
  10. Garnish with the remaining mints just before serving.
