Ingredients

  • 6 heads garlic
  • 12 tsp. olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Remove the outer layer of skin from 1 to 6 heads of garlic.
  3. Cut 1/2 inch off from the top of each garlic head straight across and arrange in a shallow baking pan.
  4. Drizzle 2 teaspoons of olive oil over each garlic head, letting it seep between the cloves.
  5. Cover the pan with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 30 to 45 minutes, until the garlic is tender when pierced with a toothpick.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before handling.
