Ingredients

  • 3 (No. 303) cans beets
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 24 whole cloves
  • 3 tablespoons catsup
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
  • dash of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups beet juice

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a pan and cook for 3 minutes over medium heat or until the mixture thickens.
  2. Allow the mixture to cool, then store in the refrigerator.
