Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. cold water

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, shortening, and salt until the mixture resembles cornmeal.
  2. Add cold water and blend together.
  3. Shape the mixture into a ball and flatten it.
  4. Roll from the center out to form a thin, large circle larger than the pie plate.
  5. Place in the pie plate without greasing.
  6. Set oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Bake until golden brown.
