Pirohy
Pirohy are tender, homemade dumplings filled with your favorite ingredients, boiled to perfection, then topped with sautéed onions and butter for a comforting, hearty meal.

Instructions
- Sift flour, salt, and baking powder into a bowl.
- Add egg and enough warm water to form a soft dough.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for about 5 minutes.
- Let the dough rest for approximately 10 minutes.
- Roll the dough quite thin, then cut into 2-inch squares.
- Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each square and fold corners to form triangles.
- Seal the edges well by pinching.
- Cook the pirohy in boiling salted water.
- Simmer until they float to the top, about 7 minutes.
- Drain the pirohy and fry chopped onions in butter.
- Pour the sautéed onions over the cooked pirohy and serve.
