Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1 c. milk
  • 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Instructions

  1. Cream Crisco and margarine, add sugar and eggs.
  2. Cream well. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together, add to creamed mixture with milk.
  3. Add vanilla and mix well.
  4. Pour into 3 layer cake pans that are greased and floured.
  5. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
