Ingredients

  • 1 chicken
  • 1 small cabbage
  • 2 potatoes
  • 2 chorizos de Bilbao
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 slices ham or tocino
  • 3/4 cup cooked garbanzos
  • 8 tablespoons lard
  • 1/2 kilo pork
  • 6 saba bananas
  • 5 ripe tomatoes or 1 small can tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken and pork into serving pieces.
  2. Bring water to a boil and simmer the chicken, pork, ham, and chorizos until tender.
  3. Season with salt. Remove the meat from the casserole and set aside.
  4. Use the meat stock to boil the cabbage and potatoes until cooked.
  5. Cook the saba bananas separately until tender.
