Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. bacon
  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • flour
  • water
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Fry the bacon until crisp. Remove the bacon and set aside.
  2. Saute the cabbage in the bacon grease until slightly tender.
  3. Add the tomatoes to the cabbage and bring to a boil to finish cooking.
  4. Dissolve flour in water and add to the stew to thicken the mixture.
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste before serving.
