Ingredients

  • 2 lb. Polish sausage (kielbasa)
  • 6 medium potatoes
  • 1 medium head cabbage
  • 6 small ears corn
  • 1 1/4 cups chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Put sausage in the bottom of a large kettle.
  2. Cut cabbage into 6 wedges and core it.
  3. Place cabbage wedges on top of the sausage.
  4. Peel potatoes and cut them in half lengthwise.
  5. Arrange potatoes on top of the cabbage.
  6. Husk and remove silk from the corn.
  7. Place corn on top of the potatoes.
  8. Pour broth over the layered meat and vegetables.
  9. Cover and bring to a boil.
  10. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 45 minutes.
