Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 lb. thin sliced round steak
  • 1 onion
  • 6 to 8 slices bacon
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Cut the meat into approximately 3 x 3-inch pieces.
  2. Pound the meat pieces with a meat tenderizer.
  3. Chop the onion and fry with chopped bacon until almost done.
  4. Place a spoonful of drained bacon and onion mixture on each steak piece.
  5. Roll up each piece and secure with a toothpick.
  6. Dip the rolled steaks in flour, salt, and pepper.
  7. Brown the rolls in a skillet, then remove them.
  8. Make a gravy from the skillet drippings by adding mushroom soup and some milk.
  9. Place the meat rolls in a pot, pour the gravy over them, cover, and bake in the oven at 350°F for 1.5 hours or until tender.
