Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. baking soda
  • pinch salt
  • 1/3 c. molasses
  • 3/4 c. chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Cream butter with sugar and beat in egg.
  2. Mix or sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
  3. Add flour mixture to butter/sugar mixture, alternately with molasses.
  4. Add chopped nuts.
  5. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake in moderate oven 350° for 10-12 minutes.
