Ingredients

  • sugar
  • vanilla
  • margarine
  • white karo syrup
  • peanuts

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, vanilla, and margarine in a large bowl.
  2. Cook white karo syrup until it reaches 234°F or the soft ball stage.
  3. Pour the hot syrup over the popcorn mixture and mix well.
  4. As soon as the mixture cools enough to handle, spread it onto 2 to 3 buttered cookie sheets and press out.
  5. Bake for 1 hour at 200°F.
  6. Let cool.
  7. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
