Ingredients

  • 2 lb. frozen hash browns
  • 1 stick margarine, melted
  • 1 c. very finely chopped onions
  • 8 oz. shredded sharp Cheddar
  • 1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • 2 c. corn flake crumbs

Instructions

  1. Melt 1/2 margarine in saucepan; add corn flake crumbs. Set aside.
  2. Mix all other ingredients (potatoes can still be frozen). Pour into a greased round casserole dish and top with buttered corn flake crumbs.
  3. Bake at 350° for 1
  4. to 1 1/2 hours.
  5. If flat square pan is used it usually only takes 1 hour.
