Ingredients

  • 6 potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 cup Ranch dressing
  • 1 block Cheddar cheese
  • oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Shred the potatoes and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot.
  3. Drop shredded potatoes into the hot oil and fry until crispy and golden brown.
  4. Remove the potato rags from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  5. Slice the onion and grate the Cheddar cheese.
  6. Serve the crispy potato rags with ranch dressing on the side, topped with sliced onion and shredded Cheddar if desired.
