Ingredients

  • 4 cans biscuits (buttermilk type best)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 3/4 cup oleo
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Cut each biscuit into quarters.
  2. Mix together 3/4 cup sugar and 3 teaspoons cinnamon.
  3. Roll biscuit pieces in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.
  4. Layer the coated biscuit pieces in an ungreased tube pan, adding chopped nuts between layers.
  5. Combine 3/4 cup oleo, 1 cup brown sugar, and rum or milk in a saucepan.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  7. Pour the hot mixture over the layered biscuits in the pan.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 20 to 40 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
