Ingredients

  • 1 large cabbage
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/2 cup Mazola oil
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Shred the cabbage in a large bowl.
  2. Chop the onion and bell pepper and place them on top of the cabbage; set aside.
  3. Heat the Mazola oil, vinegar, sugar, and salt until boiling.
  4. Pour the hot mixture over the cabbage and vegetables.
  5. Let the mixture set overnight before stirring.
  6. Stir well and refrigerate before serving.
  7. The slaw will keep indefinitely.
