Ingredients

  • 5 apples
  • 5 or 6 slices loaf bread
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 stick margarine

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the apples.
  2. Place the sliced apples into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  3. Top the apples with strips of loaf bread.
  4. Melt the margarine and add the sugar and egg to it.
  5. Mix well and pour the mixture over the bread and apples.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
