Quick And Easy Pointed Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter, or more to taste
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • 1 whole pointed cabbage, cut in fine strips
  • 1/2 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar, or more to taste

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a pot and saute shallot until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Add pointed cabbage, stir, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Pour in vegetable broth and season with brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cover pot and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes. Season with balsamic vinegar.
