Ingredients

  • 1 (46 oz.) can apricot nectar
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Mix apricot nectar, sugar, and cornstarch together and cook until thick and clear.
  2. Add 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring to the mixture.
  3. Break an angel food cake apart in a 9 x 12-inch pan.
  4. Pour the hot apricot mixture over the cake.
  5. Allow to cool.
  6. Cover with Cool Whip and sprinkle with ground pecans or slivered almonds.
  7. Chill the dessert.
  8. Cut into squares to serve.
