Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2/3 cup cold water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package yeast
  • 3 cups self-rising flour

Instructions

  1. Scald the milk and add the cold water, sugar, oil, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add 2 cups of self-rising flour and sprinkle the yeast over the mixture.
  3. Pour in the remaining flour and mix thoroughly to form a soft dough.
  4. Spoon the batter into greased muffin pans.
  5. Bake about 15 minutes at 400°F until golden brown.
