Ingredients

  • 1 cup finely chopped nuts
  • 2 (1 oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 to 2½ cups vanilla wafer crumbs

Instructions

  1. In a buttered 9-inch square pan, sprinkle 1/4 cup nuts over the bottom.
  2. In a heavy saucepan over low heat, melt the unsweetened chocolate with the sweetened condensed milk.
  3. Cook and stir until the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir well.
  5. Stir in vanilla wafer crumbs and 1/2 cup nuts until combined.
  6. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
  7. Top with the remaining 1/4 cup nuts.
  8. Chill for 4 hours or until firm.
  9. Cut into squares and serve.
  10. Store loosely covered at room temperature.
