Ingredients

  • 3 or 4 cans sliced beets
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon pickling spices
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Drain the beets well and set aside.
  2. Bring the sugar, cider vinegar, pickling spices, and salt to a boil and simmer for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the drained beets and boil for 1 more minute.
  4. Serve hot or cold, and store in the refrigerator.
