Ingredients

  • 1 angel food cake (10-inch)
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime jello
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. orange jello
  • 10 oz. frozen strawberries, partially thawed
  • 1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 10 oz. can mandarin orange segments, drained

Instructions

  1. Cut or tear the angel food cake into small pieces and divide into thirds.
  2. Sprinkle strawberry gelatin over one third, lime gelatin over another third, and orange gelatin over the last third of the cake.
  3. Gently toss each portion to coat the cake with the gelatin.
  4. In a 10-inch tube pan, place the strawberry cake pieces at the bottom.
  5. Spoon the frozen strawberries over the cake layer.
  6. Spread one-third of the softened vanilla ice cream over the strawberries.
  7. Repeat the layers with lime cake pieces, blueberries, ice cream, orange cake pieces, mandarin orange segments, and the remaining ice cream.
  8. Freeze the assembled dessert until firm.
  9. Unmold onto a chilled dessert plate before serving.
