- Dissolve 1 package of jello in 1 1/4 cups boiling water.
- Pour 3/4 cup of the dissolved jello into a 9-inch square pan or 6-cup ring mold.
- Chill until set but not firm, about 15 minutes.
- Chill the remaining jello in a bowl.
- Gradually blend in 3 tablespoons sour cream into the remaining jello.
- Spoon the sour cream mixture over the set jello in the mold.
- Chill until the top layer is set but not firm, about 15 minutes.
- Repeat the process with each remaining flavor of jello, chilling each layer before pouring.
- Chill the assembled dessert for at least 2 hours.
- Cut into wedges or rectangles before serving.
