Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, 1 1/2 cups sugar, salt, soda, and baking powder.
  2. Bring the butter and water to a boil.
  3. Add 1/2 cup sugar to the eggs and add this to the hot butter, water mixture.
  4. Be sure to stir quickly while adding the eggs.
  5. Add the berries. Spread on a greased and floured cookie sheet (jelly roll pan) and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
  6. Top with cream cheese icing.
