Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp cornstarch
  • pinch of salt
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • water

Instructions

  1. Mix cornstarch with 1 tablespoon cold water and pour into 1/4 cup boiling water, along with the salt.
  2. Cook until the mixture becomes clear.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool.
  4. Beat 4 egg whites until peaks form.
  5. Gradually add sugar while beating.
  6. Put the mixer on low speed and add the cold starch mixture.
  7. Increase mixer speed to high and beat until stiff peaks form.
  8. Add vanilla and mix briefly.
