Ingredients

  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 to 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 to 3 jalapeno peppers
  • 2 Tbsp. minced cilantro
  • 1 tsp. lime juice
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except crushed tomatoes in a large bowl; mix well.
  2. Place about 3/4 of the mixture in a food processor, fitted with a steel blade, and process for about 5 seconds.
  3. Return the processed mixture to the bowl with the remaining salsa mixture.
  4. Add crushed tomatoes and mix well.
  5. Cover tightly and chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
