Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sweet Italian sausage
  • 1 lb. hot Italian sausage
  • 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 lb. dried rigatoni
  • 1/4 lb. frozen peas
  • 1/4 lb. grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Peel casings off the Italian sausages and cook them in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
  2. Drain excess fat and crumble the cooked sausage into small pieces.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes to the skillet with the sausage and mix well.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and cook over medium heat until the sauce thickens.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the dried rigatoni in boiling salted water until al dente, then drain.
  6. Stir the thawed peas into the sauce and heat through.
  7. Combine the cooked rigatoni with the sauce, then serve topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
