Ingredients

  • 6 quail birds
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • flour
  • 2 slices lemon
  • dash of garlic salt
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 stick butter

Instructions

  1. Salt and pepper the quail birds; lightly flour them.
  2. Brown the birds on top of the stove in 1 stick of butter.
  3. Add a small amount of water, Worcestershire sauce, a dash of garlic salt, and lemon slices.
  4. Cover the roaster and cook in the oven for 1 to 1 1/4 hours at 350°F.
  5. Baste the birds often during cooking.
  6. Add more water if necessary to make gravy.
