A hearty, comforting roast cooked in foil with creamy mushroom and onion flavors, perfect for family dinners and those who enjoy tender, flavorful meats with minimal fuss.

Ingredients

  • 1 roast
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cans water

Instructions

  1. Line a 9 x 13-inch pan with a large piece of aluminum foil.
  2. Place the roast on the foil and sprinkle with dry onion soup mix.
  3. Mix the cream of mushroom soup with water.
  4. Pour the mushroom soup mixture over the roast.
  5. Place another piece of foil over the top of the roast and seal the edges well.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 325° to 350°F for 1 hour per pound or until done.
  7. Remove the roast to a platter.
  8. Serve the gravy into a gravy dish.
