Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 box seedless raisins
  • 2 cups chopped English walnuts
  • 2 bags frozen coconut
  • 1 package dates
  • 12 oz. can milk
  • 12 oz. water
  • 2 cups sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the yellow cake mix according to the package directions.
  2. Finely chop the raisins, walnuts, coconut, and dates together using a food processor.
  3. In a saucepan, combine the milk, water, and sugar. Cook on medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring often.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Spread the warm fruit and nut mixture between the cake layers while still warm.
