Ingredients

  • 1 box Pillsbury roll mix
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine roll mix, dry yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Melt the butter.
  3. Beat the egg; add to hot water.
  4. Add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients.
  5. Knead until the dough is soft; form into a ball.
  6. Set aside in a warm place; cover with a tea towel.
  7. Let rise for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  8. Punch down the dough; knead lightly.
  9. Break pieces of dough with hands and roll into small balls.
  10. Place the dough balls into greased round cake pans.
  11. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
