Ingredients

  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 yeast cake
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Scald milk with butter.
  2. Pour into a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add sugar and salt.
  4. Let cool.
  5. Add eggs (unbeaten), yeast cake, and 1 1/2 cups flour.
  6. Mix well for two minutes.
  7. Stir in remaining flour.
  8. Put in icebox and let rise overnight.
  9. Make rolls at least two hours before cooking.
