Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. lard (cold)
  • 2 1/2 lb. White Lily flour
  • 1 qt. buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Dump all ingredients into a large bowl and mix really well.
  2. Sprinkle a pastry cloth well with flour and roll the dough out like a cross.
  3. Take the left side of the dough; fold it to the center.
  4. Take the right side of the dough; fold it to the center.
  5. Take the bottom of the dough; fold it up.
  6. Take the top of the dough and fold it down.
  7. Roll over the dough slightly with a rolling pin, then cut biscuits out with the top of a drinking glass.
