Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 2 c. warm water
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. Crisco
  • 1 egg
  • 4 c. self-rising flour

Instructions

  2. Dissolve sugar into the yeast mixture.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients—Crisco, egg, and self-rising flour—and stir until lumps of Crisco are gone.
  4. Spoon the batter into greased muffin cups.
