Russian Hot Pot
A hearty Russian hot pot with tender potatoes, cabbage, tomatoes, and ground beef, perfect for warming up and satisfying the whole family on a chilly day.

- Put water and bouillon cubes in a 4-quart Dutch oven and bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Meanwhile, scrub the potatoes.
- Cut the potatoes into 1/2-inch chunks and add to the pot. Increase heat to high.
- Remove the core from the cabbage, then cut it into 1/2-inch chunks.
- Peel and quarter the onion.
- Add the cabbage and onion to the pot.
- Add the tomatoes, breaking them up with your fingers.
- Add the ground beef, crumbling it as you add it to the pot.
- Let the contents boil for about 30 seconds, then stir to mix well.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
- Serve in soup plates.
