Russian Snowballs are tender, melt-in-your-mouth cookies coated in powdered sugar, perfect for holiday gatherings or as a sweet, nutty treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 10x sugar
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Cream margarine, sugar, and vanilla until fluffy.
  2. Sift flour and salt; add to butter mixture.
  3. Blend well to form a dough.
  4. Add nuts and mix thoroughly.
  5. Shape into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake in a slow oven (325°F) for about 20 minutes.
  7. Do not brown. Cool and roll in powdered sugar.
