Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons sage
  • 1 heaping tablespoon shortening
  • 2 tablespoons grated onion
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 strips bacon, cut into 1-inch squares

Instructions

  1. Put flour, baking powder, salt, and sage in a medium bowl and stir to mix.
  2. Cut in shortening and add grated onion and milk, mixing until just combined.
  3. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a cookie sheet.
