Ingredients

  • 5 ripe roma tomatoes
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 onion
  • 3 jalapeno peppers
  • 4 dry red peppers
  • cilantro
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Roast tomatoes til blackened in places and tomato is cooked thru. A BBQ pit works great, if not it can be done in oven.
  2. While waiting on the tomatoes: in a small pot, add onion, jalapeno peppers and garlic. Cover with water. Boil until onions are opaque.
  3. On a grill or iron skillet place dry red peppers on very hot surface, turning until blackened. This happens quickly so stand by. Also be sure to have fan on for ventilation.
  4. Place all ingredients in blender and blend to desired consistancy.
  5. Chill and enjoy.
