Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar; add 2 teaspoons water and vanilla.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Blend in flour and chopped pecans; chill for 4 hours.
  4. Shape into balls or fingers.
  5. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 325°F for about 20 minutes.
  6. Remove from pan; cool slightly.
  7. Roll in confectioners' sugar.
