Instructions
- Dissolve yeast in warm water.
- Sift flour, baking powder, soda, salt and sugar together.
- Cut in shortening.
- Add yeast and water mixture and the buttermilk.
- Roll out and cut into biscuits. Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes.
- They may be frozen and popped into a hot oven just before serving.
