Sangria(Red Wine Punch)

A vibrant and refreshing red wine punch with citrus and fruit garnishes, perfect for gatherings and warm evenings, offering a balanced blend of sweetness and tang.

Ingredients

  • 2 oranges
  • 2 lemons
  • 2 fifths red wine (Rose, Burgundy or other)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1 apple
  • 28 oz. bottle carbonated water, chilled

Instructions

  1. Chill one orange and one lemon for garnish.
  2. Squeeze juice from the other orange and lemon.
  3. Place the juices, wine, sugar, and brandy in a large pitcher or bowl.
  4. Stir to dissolve the sugar and chill the mixture.
  5. Just before serving, divide the mixture into 2 pitchers or pour into a bowl.
  6. Cut the chilled orange into wedges.
  7. Slice the chilled lemon into wheels.
  8. Core the apple and cut into wedges.
  9. Thread the fruit onto 2 long skewers to stand in pitchers or float in the fruit bowl.
  10. Slowly pour in the chilled carbonated water.
