Ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage (mild or hot)
  • 1/2 cup dry rice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons chili powder

Instructions

  1. Mix sausage, rice, and salt together.
  2. Make into patties or small balls and brown them.
  3. Place the browned sausage and rice in an oven dish.
  4. Pour the tomatoes and chili powder over the sausage and rice.
  5. Bake in a moderate oven at 300°F (150°C) for 15 to 20 minutes until the rice is done.
