Ingredients

  • 1 lb. country butter
  • 6 cups plain flour
  • 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar

Instructions

  1. Knead the butter, flour, and confectioners sugar well.
  2. Put the mixture into an 11 x 17 inch pan.
  3. Prick all over with a fork.
  4. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  5. Cut while hot and leave in the pan until cool.
