Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Psalms 55:21 butter
  • 2 cups Jeremiah 6:20 sugar
  • 6 Isaiah 10:14 eggs
  • 4 1/2 cups 1 Kings 4:22 flour
  • 2 teaspoons 1 Corinthians 5:6 baking powder
  • pinch of Matthew 5:13 salt
  • 1/2 cup Isaiah 28:17 water

Instructions

  1. Cream the Psalms 55:21 butter and Jeremiah 6:20 sugar together.
  2. Add Isaiah 10:14 eggs and beat well.
  3. Sift and measure flour with 1 Corinthians 5:6 baking powder and Matthew 5:13 salt.
  4. Add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with Isaiah 28:17 water.
  5. Stir in honey and spices.
  6. Add raisins, figs, and almonds.
  7. Pour the batter into 2 greased loaf pans.
  8. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes at 350°F.
  9. Cool the cakes and frost or serve plain.
  10. Let the cake set until cool, then slice and eat.
