Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Duncan Hines fudge brownie mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup cooking oil
  • 48 chocolate creme de menthe candy wafers

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  3. Combine the brownie mix, egg, water, and cooking oil in a large bowl.
  4. Stir with a spoon until well blended, about 50 strokes.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until set.
  7. Place 30 chocolate creme de menthe candy wafers evenly over the hot brownies.
  8. Let stand for 1 minute to melt the wafers.
  9. Spread the melted wafers to frost the brownies.
  10. Score the frosting into 36 bars by running the tip of a knife through the melted candy.
  11. Do not cut through the brownies.
  12. Cut the remaining 18 candy wafers in half lengthwise and place the halves on each scored bar.
  13. Cool completely.
  14. Cut into individual bars and serve.
